| Kenner Parker Toys (KPT), an American toy company based in Cincinnati, OH began development of FashionStar Fillies in 1987 as a response to the popularity of Hasbro's My Little Pony line of toys. FashionStar Fillies were intended to target slightly older girls as a blend between fashion styling and play of dolls such as Barbie by Mattel, fantasy play, and girls' love of horses. | |||

Avea Trotter
As a hybrid, Avea's parents are two completely different monsters. Her father is a centaur scientist who specializes in researching monster remedies and medicine, and her mother is a harpy who is his research assistant. She is strong and tenacious, but being a hybrid often makes her feel out of place. |
Meadoe Flurry
Meadoe is a yeti hybrid with purple and blue hair pulled into long braided pigtails. What makes her unique is her translucent antlers with dripping icicles and pink crystal points. She has blue icicle eyebrows, blue eyes, and wears pink and blue eyeshadow and pink lipstick. |
Olympia Wingfield
Olympia is a vampire bat hybrid with deep purple hair that is streaked with black and features a black spiderweb mohawk. Her pale white skin is complemented by purple eyebrows, purple eyes, lavender eyeshadow, yellow eyeliner, and purple lips with fangs. On her back are yellow bat-like wings. |
Nightmare
Nightmare is Headless Headmistress Bloodgood's trusty companion and is always nearby. This horse is blue with dark bluish gray hooves and red eyes. His mane and tail are purple streaked with magenta. He wears a purple bridle and removable saddle. Each side of the saddle is decorated by a white skullette with pink bow. |

Neighthan Rot
Neighthan is a "zombicorn" meaning he is part unicorn and part zombie. Being half unicorn gives him healing powers, but it is offset by his zombie clumsiness. Although sociable, like many hybrids he sometimes feels out of place. |
Manny Taur
Manny is strong and powerful minotaur who is also known as the school bully. Although he has picked on weaker monsters, he is trying to change his ways and be nice to others. He is currently in an on-again off-again relationship with Iris Clops. |

Struts Fashion Horses
My Holy Grails!!! The fashion-friendly Struts horse line includeded Milan, Rio, Sierra and Sydney. These launched in fall 2008 and only ran for a few months before outcry against their "slutty" designs got them pulled. |
